You probably were. I recall reading something along those lines.

I  have a history of getting lost. This frustrates me and I now allow far much more  time to arrive at wherever I am going.

Someone mentioned a quotation, which I carry around with me to remind myself.

I don't get lost. I just take people to places where they have never been before.
