I didn’t know about the diamond painting and cross stitch colours matching threads. I’ve always thought of diamond painting as a modern version of cross stitch though. Maybe that’s why diamond painting didn’t attract me, too much like cross stitch, which I’ve done lots of.

@Gazza75 @CheerBear and anyone else interested in the diamond painting. I haven't been in here for a couple of dys. I get most of mine from either Ali Express (online from China, cheapest and post free, arrive in a couple weeks) or from a place called Gem It which is cheaper than most other places. They are a WA company and you usually have them in a week.

I find most of the craft shops have the more expensive brands and not as much choice as these two. Will post a pic of my current project about halfway through, an old sewing machine
