Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@Shaz51, I've had rabbit, wild and farmed duck, quail, venison, roo, yabby. And assorted innards cooked Chinese style. Stomach is actually quite tasty, but a bit rubbery like calamari.

Had a friend some years ago who ran over a snake while working with road crew. He skinned it, filleted it and put it on the BBQ at lunchtime. Once his workmates discovered that it wasn't eel... he had that hotplate all to himself.

He spent a lot of time with a Southern NSW/Northern Vic Aboriginal group, and was treated as an informal elder, so he shared plenty of bush tucker meals with them. I'd love to try more of it myself, but haven't had the opportunity.
