Re: Craft Corner

Mega smile reading that @outlander, thank you for sharing that memory. I've so enjoyed watching your crocheting journey take off ❤ And that rainbow blanket 😍

Re: Craft Corner

I thought you might like to know @CheerBear I cant believe its been a year since then! it doesn't really feel like it and ive got my CB inspired blanket hanging on my cupboard so its always nearby Heart
thanks heaps for putting up with my pestering and guiding me along xo

Re: Craft Corner

All the warm fuzzy feels reading that @outlander. It really has been such a joy watching you learn, grow and share and now help others with theirs! It's a skill you'll have forever (I reckon it's kind of like riding a bike) as a go-to if you want or need it. Happy first crochet birthday 😊🎂

Re: Craft Corner

aww your a cutie @CheerBear
crochet birthday, love it! 🤣🤣😏😏
ive made 20 squares of the starburst squares now, they work up very quickly and doesn't take to much concentration. not sure how big ill make it, prob just keep going till I get bored of the pattern lol 😏
going to give the mandella one ago in the winter next year and start collecting the yarns I want to use now. that's if I can wait that long. I want to learn how to make those teddies that hospitals use for the kids at some point so I can make a few and then donate them.

are you working on anything in particular atm?

Re: Craft Corner

Wow @Gazza75  very beautiful. Well done. 💕💜💕

Re: Craft Corner

Morning crafty people ❤

@outlander 20 is lots! So glad you have them to do and that they're not hugely tricky so you can put down and pick up by the sound of it. Also super excited to hear you might take on a mandala! I'm working on Sophie at the moment (Sophie's universe), but with a modified centre. I've just about finished start of it which has been one of the most difficult things I've crocheted probably. But I don't like the colours so I'll frog it and start again once I've finished so I can have the practice. I might share a pic before I frog it as its taken me aaaages!

@Gazza75 and any diamond painters - Diamond painting entered our house yesterday when a black cat one caught the attention of my Big. Nice school holiday project maybe 🙂 I have no idea how to do them so Big will get on YouTube today and find some tips I think. I'm really interested in what's in the box and in watching it come together 🙂

Hope the day has some good feels for all ❤

Re: Craft Corner

Dropping off a pic of my Sophie centre before she is no longer. This is a crocodile flower, something I haven't made before. I find crocodile stitch tricky and I found this was definitely that 😏

I'm going to try with colours that contrast more next time (as in right now while I have time), and maybe make the flower look smaller as it's very big compared to the rest of the pattern. But I'm happy with the practice I got with this and happy I could actually do it!

Re: Craft Corner

Looking forward to seeing your pic @CheerBear
Never heard of a crocodile stitch, ill have to look it up after school run.

20 seems like alot but they are only small. Have you ever done a starburst? Youd find them easy, i cant think of all the names except trebles, half treble, and puff stitch. The outside one has three stitches but theres 2 ive forgotten the names of.

Re: Craft Corner

I have made a few over the years @outlander but never enough to make into anything so they just floated around the craft piles. I'd love to yours when it's done if you do/can share. Or while it's in the process of being done too!

Another really nice one (another I have some piles of 😏) is African flower.

Love all the stitches you're doing! That repetition is so helpful!

Re: Craft Corner

Ill share a pic or 2 today @CheerBear ive been meaning too but i keep forgetting 🤦‍♀️
Hmm ill have to look at the african flower too. Theres always room for another project. Says someone who has 3 going atm but i like the starburst the most 😁

When i was watching Bella make it it was making my head swirl with all the stitches she was showing but once i followed along each step i wondered what i was worried about, super easy and the repitition helps cause now its just automatic.
