Hi @Achillies
how are you tonight ? My name is PeppyPatti......If you were writing to me....yes.....my life is about finding time for myself when just about to overstretch myself.
But I wouldnt want it any other way.
I keep on thinking.....what if..........What if I waited to meet someone who did'nt suffer times of mental ill health.
What if I waited until I was properly cleansed from stress from my son and I finished studying a nursing degree I pulled out of.
What if??
What if I didn't eat all my icecreams in the freezer today and I left one for tonight and I could be eating it right now?
Yum. Icecream.

Thanks @Achillies
If you were talking to me.
I have tried to keep an activity for me going after I left work and became a mum 30 years ago. Bit by bit ... thats how my piano and singing developed and I earned more money that way than from any fancy degree.
Some of my questioning and approach in this thread is about that .. but I am open .. to discussing any aspect.
I also know career types who get a lot of pleasure out of their work. They dont do it just for the money. Their sense of self esteem, and pleasure and satisfaction comes from being fully engaged in it .. not just being a resentful wage slave.
I also wanted to move the discussion from simply a gender divide ... or a sick patient and working doctor divide.
I also have a weird sense that psychosis is a lot of work .... effort expended etc.
