@soul @Determined It's funny how the big thing everyone talks about is missing their mum, but dads don't get as much of a mention. Maybe it's easier to be sentimental about mums, especially on social media. One thing I get a bit stuck about is phone calls to Dad. He's out of his room more often than Mum, sitting in the lounge watching TV or playing cards or going to one of the music performances the home organises. If he's in his room, it's often because he's having a nap. On top of that, I guess I'm a bit concerned that without being able to see me while he's talking, his memory might be even dodgier than it usually is. And it's just not the same as being there for me either. Gotta work that one out- don't want to be regretting it when it's too late.
Nice and sunny here today (but the night was chilly), so I've been outside pulling weeds instead of cruising the net or housework. Also decided that now is the time to defrost the fridge, while it's nearly empty after my trip away.
