Yes I find anti dep meds make you put on weight for me. Also going through menopause doesn't help.
Think for me the bingeing is a control thing. I feel totally in control and fantastic. But once I stop it's a very very negative self talk. Terrible. And then I start bingeing again. Vicious cycle.

I can certainly resonate @SarahBee .
Knowing the potential side effect of weight gain that came with some of my medication made me highly resistant to taking them. I remember people trying to make me take my meds, so I would hide it then get rid of it. All because of the weight issue.
At that time, the doctors mentioned weight gain would most likely be involved, but as their focus was more on dealing with the MH condition, the weight gain issue became secondary, and therefore was dismissed.
Now that I have more understanding of maintaining healthy eating habits, I can co-exist with taking medication that causes weight gain, as well as healthy eating. With knowledge is POWER!

Thank you for sharing @MDT ! It shows that body-consciousness comes in all shapes and sizes too, and must therefore be respected.

I know @HenryX ! I used to wake up at all hours craving sugary foods, junk food. I would be eating and chewing while falling asleep.
Now, I try not to give in to these cravings, and I find mindulness helps.
